THE PURPOSE
The mission of Monkey Radio was to create and promote platforms for musical, cultural and spiritual dimensions of the sound system culture, manifested in the form of soulful art events in and around Hyderabad & India. The intention is to spread the message of universal oneness and the concept of “I and I” through enabling Music, Dance, and Meditation for the Mind, Body, and Soul for people of all socio-cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, especially the youth.
Connecting Indian Youth to Sound System Culture
Today not just India, but the entire world is going through a lot of turmoil – personal, social and political. The youth and the old sometimes get misguided or fall into bad mental places due to the chaotic environment around. Bass Sanskriti was formed to use music as a community building exercise, a collective healing process.
Bass Sanskriti is dedicated in cultivating the culture of Sound System for the purpose of cultivating a culture of profound human consciousness. The race of humanity is better off remembering the roots of its existence wherein the profound feeling of oneness is present, a memory which can be swiftly recalled from engaging in the act of dancing to beats and words which groove us from the core of our life form. Thus, in that light, sound system culture will be synonymous with deep meditation. Music and dance will be the shape and form of this meditative engagement.
It is not merely a temporary source of entertaining gratification. In simpler words, music is the tool for the pursuit of truth. Without truth, all thoughts and all actions hold only so much meaning. Originally, Indian dance and culture is an expression of the truth, a reflection of reality, a divine form of meditative practice, the pursuit of inner joy and cultivation of inner peace. Finally, reggae music culture conveys the borrowed agenda of peace and love, and now it is time for us to learn from our brothers in Jamaica. In addition, it is important to understand that music holds a powerful place in the physical realm as well as the realm of consciousness.
