Episode 11 - Serpents Athirst | SRI LANKA #fromthearchives #blackmetal #musicdocumentary
This episode is special, probably the most unique in the series. EKUSHEY FEBRUARY or literally 21st February is International Mother Language Day also known as Martyrs' Day in Bangladesh when people of the nation gather to commemorate the sacrifice of thousands of revolutionary lives for the Bengali language freedom movement. Zoheb from Qabar PR was kind and graceful to show us around a thriving Dhaka University, Shahid Minar (Martyrs' Memorial) and Shahbag as well as to introduce us to some incredible black metal and rock musicians (from bands Eternal Armageddon, Burial Dust, Quanta and Leela) who exchange thoughts and views about their nation in the 21st Century on the historic night of 21st February! This helped us to comprehend the sentiment and history attached to this day. Lots of questions raised, emotions high and amongst other eternal visits - a homage to the National High Poet of Rebellion Kazi Nazrul Islam - at his resting grave.

Soundtrack:
Code Minority by Haremsluts (BAN)
Obey To None by Eternal Armageddon (Ban)
Oshubho Ahobaan by Burial Dust (BAN)
